William and his Radio
Controlled Model Airplane Named the "Hedgehog"
I met William about five years ago when he was 7 years old. He lives
across the street from where I live. He would ride his bike onto my
driveway and look at the large model airplanes that filled my garage.
He was a shy little boy. I know his family very well, so I invited
him in to get a close up look at my airplanes. William graciously
accepted the invitation. It wasn't long before he started to ask
questions that made me realize that he was not your ordinary seven year
old. The questions he would ask were intelligent and well thought
out.

With the approval of William's Mom and Dad, I started to teach William how
to fly using the Buddy Box system. He is eleven years old now. His
learning skills are above average for his age. He has demonstrated that to
me when I have allowed him to get his plane into a difficult situation
just to test his skills. Remarkably, he recovers very well.
If he continues on with this hobby, he is sure to become a world class
pilot in the future.
